Cathy, Jon and Mom went to see Epcot on Saturday. Their last Disney adventure for the week. Cathy and John rented a scooter for mom to ride throughout the park since it’s in an enormous park. I did not go because it was not a good stomach day. When mom returned to the room, she said she only hit a few people with the scooter. And fortunately she didn’t injure anyone. There was a food and wine festival going on for a few more weeks and this included taste of different countries and wine and beer and things like that. I’ll cover a few details of that later.

Prior to visiting the countries, they rode the Earth ride, which is the big silver ball that is the iconic Epcot symbol. The ride broke down while they were in it, but fortunately started it back up again. Their next tour was on a ride called Soaring which mom described it as sailing in the sky over beautiful places throughout the country. They started to fly over the Golden Gate bridge and they also flew over the Grand Canyon. It was funny because Aunt Carol posted a picture of the Grand Canyon in the WhatsApp chat today, and mom was sure that was from Soaring.

Outside of Soaring was a Land exhibit where you rode a boat and saw how the land changed over time. It started back when the world began and progressed to current day. It showed how we are taking care of our land and how farming has progressed.
They went to the country portion of Epcot and only went into Norway in Mexico, but stopped and ate at multiple countries.
- France, mom had beef bourginion Cathy had croissant with escargot and a beignet with three cheeses
- Australia, Cathy had shrimp with snap peas, and mom tasted some of hers.
- Spain, Cathy had a flight of sangria
- John picked up some beer in multiple places some were short and some were tall
- Mom cannot remember what she drank, but without a lot of food in her system, it did her in.
- Belgium, mom had a Belgian waffle with chocolate and thought it was yummy

Mom left around 2:30, it was hot and the rides John and Cathy were going on rides that she was going to participate in. They had gotten Lightning Lane tickets for Guardians of the Galaxy and Ratatouille and other rides. Mom made it safely back to the hotel, with only one wrong turn that was even without using the GPS. Kathy and Jon didn’t make it back until after 9 PM. Which means they were there for over 12 hours. Oh my God I couldn’t handle that.
